Installation of New Kiln Facility

Drawn up by the IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention), ISPM15 compliant wood packaging and pallets are a mandatory requirement for all export shipments which are travelling outside the UK.

At Thomas Armstrong Timber we have on-site kiln facilities (FC Number: FC0055) that allow us to manufacture pallets or packing cases that meet the internationally agreed ISPM15 standards (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15). Carrying out the heat treatment process does not affect the strength or durability of the timber or products. It is designed to minimise and prevent the spread of disease in timber across countries.
